Abby K is 16 years old and in Grade 11.  Abby K started her Fine Arts career at the very young age of 5, with dance; taking hip hop, ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical and most important to her: Musical Theatre! 

2 years ago, her spark for the music industry began and Abby K has quickly picked up her guitar and voice lessons, to become a well-rounded performer. Her love for music is concentrated in the indie/pop/folk genre and she aims to impact her audiences with music that is written with underlying themes such as Bullying and Self-Identity. In the last year, Abby K has written 5 original songs that highlight her indie/folk acoustic style and accentuate her passion for music. Her most inspirational moment in music was when she travelled to London, England to see her greatest influence, Tom Odell at the Brixton O2 Academy this fall.  Abby K has been recognized most for her unique tone and performance abilities and continues to strive for development to provide a great show for her audiences.

Abby K has performed at many fundraising events and venues across Edmonton including, “CNIB Concert in the Dark,” “Run for the Cure,” “Kids Kottage,” “Festival of Trees,” “Walk for Angels,” and enjoys entertaining at the Edmonton International Airport, open mics and taverns such as "The Needle Vinyl Tavern." She also hosted her own 2 hour show at the Arcadia Bar where she shared her love for music with the audience and prepared footage for a new video. Abby K competes in many singer/songwriter competitions in and around the city. Abby K played on the ATB Homegrown stage at Big Valley for the second time this past summer, and became a semi-finalist. She was a finalist in the Futures Fest and St. Albert's Got Talent. Abby was also a finalist at the Ship & Anchor songwriting contest and K-Days Talent Search. She was proud to take 2nd place at the Ponoka Stampede taking home a custom Gilmore guitar this last summer (2017)! Abby K was also honored to place 1st at the Kalyna Idol (2017). Abby K has won several awards for her Musical theatre performances, including a “To Be Discovered” Broadway Bound scholarship in 2015.  Her long-term goal is to continue her singer/songwriter career and release an EP in the near future!
